Recycling Extravaganza
Saturday, April 24, 8am-12pm, located at the Village commuter parking lot at Duane and Lorraine Streets. Organized by the Glen Ellyn Environmental Commission. A complete list of items accepted can be found on the Village website.

April 22 - The Glen Ellyn Public Library celebrates Earth Day by featuring local environmental groups from 7-8:30 pm. Learn what Cool Cities and other groups are up to. http://www.gepl.org/ (pre-registration requested on line, but free)

Prairie Path and Great Western Trail Clean-ups
Saturday, April 24, 9am-12pm, volunteers will meet at the Prairie Path next to the Duane/Lorraine parking lot for the Prairie Path Clean-up.

Clean Sweep - Unlimited Refuse Collection
Monday, April 26, the Village of Glen Ellyn's waste hauler, Allied Waste, will be providing a one-time, unlimited refuse day. This will enable residents to get rid of odds and ends that cannot be recycled. This special service applies to residents who live in incorporated Glen Ellyn and excludes multi-family and commercial buildings. All clean sweep refuse must be at the curb by 7am on April 26 to ensure it is collected.

May 2 - Green Earth Fair in Naperville. The trip is worth it just for the rain barrels that the Conservation Foundation will be selling. http://www.greenearthinstitute.org/fair/index.html
