GEL NEWS: New Restaurant to Open at Former Grattos Restaurant Location

Gratto's Restaurant on the corner of Duane and Main Streets in downtown Glen Ellyn to close and new restaurant to open. The name of the new restaurant is Flour + Wine.

This restaurant location has witnessed multiple restaurant concepts fail over the past decade since the closing of Glen Ellyn Brewery over 10 years ago.

Glen Ellyn commuters could be impacted by the U.S. House Ways and Means Committee decision to cut $450 million a year for CTA, Metra and Pace capital improvement projects.

According to Crain's Chicago Business, Chicago-area mass-transit leaders are screaming at the top of their lungs about a bill awaiting a vote in the U.S. House that they say could cost the Chicago Transit Authority, Metra and Pace as much as $450 million a year in capital funds.

GEL SHARE: COD board to vote on deannexation from Glen Ellyn

College of DuPage officials have called a special meeting of the board of trustees for Wednesday night to formally consider disconnecting the college's 273-acre campus from Glen Ellyn. The meeting comes just hours before a village-imposed deadline of Dec. 1 goes into effect in which village officials have said they would begin to strictly enforce local ordinances and codes at COD.
