Rev. Dr. Jean Ford, a 25-year resident of Glen Ellyn, was confirmed this year as a representative to the United Nations Geneva/New York with Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) status out of the United Kingdom.

She now serves on the Spirituality/Values/Global Concerns, Human Rights, Environment, and Education Committees of the United Nations in New York.

Larry Lansburgh, an Academy Award-nominated and Emmy-winning documentary filmmaker, will present A Hard Look at Global Realities: Is Environmental Activism Really Effective? Humankind’s pursuit of money and power can lead to environmental devastation and abuses of human rights. He will share scenes from his documentary, “Dream People of the Amazon.”
