GEL FUN: Glen Ellyn Village Fair Opens Wednesday; Taste of Glen Ellyn Opens Friday

The Village celebrates the Taste of the Glen Ellyn and The Village Fair this week.

The Glen Ellyn Jaycees presents the Village Fair (Carnival) at Crescent Parking Lot west of Main St.

Unlimited Rides per day cost $16 (there are $1 off coupons at area stores and restaurants that are good only Wed and Thur 5pm - closing). Unlimited Rides on Sat are 12 from 4pm.

Sunday LAST BLAST 5:30p to closing - $12.00 (no coupons)

Local Favorite Performing at 2008 Garage Party Fundraiser

Cab's Wine Bar Bistro, located at 430 N Main St, hosts live music featuring Glen Ellyn Local Favorite Band this Saturday, March 21 at 10pm. No Cover. www.localfavoriteband.com

In past engagements at Cabs, Local Favorite draws standing room crowds. Make reservations for dinner if you wish to have a seat at a table when the music begins (though you'll sure to be dancing at some point during the evening). (630) 942-9463.

Several hundred people attended Saturday's Garage Party and enjoyed food from various Glen Ellyn restaurants, live music from Local Favorite, and mingling with friends. Presented by Bridge Builders at the Gearhead Garage in downtown Glen Ellyn, the Garage Party fundraiser served as a benefit for the Auto Donation Program of Bridge Communities.
