L.A. Theatre Works, the foremost radio theater company in the country, will recreate broadcasts of H.G. Wells’ “War of the Worlds” and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s “The Lost World” to the McAninch Arts Center (MAC) at College of DuPage, 425 Fawell Blvd. in Glen Ellyn, at 8 p.m. Saturday, March 21.
Directed by actor John de Lancie, who played “Q” on “Star Trek: The Next Generation,” Wells’ “War of the Worlds” and Doyle’s “The Lost World” give audiences not only two masterpieces of science fiction and adventure, but the radio magic behind their original broadcasts.
