Traditional Irish music group Danú will perform at the McAninch Arts Center at College of DuPage, 425 Fawell Blvd. in Glen Ellyn, at 7 p.m. Sunday, March 14.
Formed in 1994 at the Oireachtas Festival in Dungarvan County Waterford, Danú stays true to the traditional sounds of Irish music, but group members aren’t afraid to bring their own inspiring approach to their performance.
Danú was twice voted Best Traditional Group by BBC Radio 2’s Folk Awards.
Tickets are $36 for adults, $34 for seniors and $26 for College of DuPage students and youth.

Singer/songwriters Susan Werner and John Gorka share the bill at an 8 p.m. performance Friday, March 26, at the McAninch Arts Center at College of DuPage, 425 Fawell Blvd. in Glen Ellyn.
Chicago-based Werner is a mainstay of contemporary folk music and has recorded nine albums, ranging from the traditional folk sound to cabaret jazz and pop. Her latest album, “Classics,” features new arrangements of songs from the 1960s and 1970s by various artists, including Stevie Wonder, Paul Simon, Paul McCartney and Marvin Gaye.

Equal parts absurd and sublime, Austin-based White Ghost Shivers descend on the McAninch Arts Center at College of DuPage, 425 Fawell Blvd. in Glen Ellyn. The show, which includes a nostalgic romp through the 1920s and 1930s, is scheduled for 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, March 5 and 6.
The performances are part of the MAC’s Club MAC series, which takes place in the intimate 183-seat Theatre 2.

Jazz pianist, composer and arranger Kenny Barron will perform with the Kenny Barron Trio at 8 p.m. Friday, March 12, at the McAninch Arts Center at College of DuPage, 425 Fawell Blvd. in Glen Ellyn.
Named “Best Pianist” by the Jazz Journalists Association for the past four years, Barron began his career as a teenager and has played and recorded with Dizzy Gillespie, Mel Melvin, Roy Haynes and others.
The nine-time Grammy Award nominee collaborated extensively with Stan Getz throughout the 1980s and has recorded dozens of albums.

Anima - Young Singers of Greater Chicago (formerly the Glen Ellyn Children’s Chorus) has a 45 year history of providing young people with rich musical experiences and extraordinary music education. Anima will be performing throughout the Glen Ellyn area in the next 2 months.
Upcoming Anima events include:
- the annual holiday concert, “Stars of Wonder” on December 19th at both 4pm and 7pm at Wentz Concert Hall in Naperville;
- the younger choristers singing at the Glen Ellyn Library on November 27th for the annual Celebrate the Season;

College of DuPage student music ensembles will perform a concert of mixed repertoire at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, on the Mainstage of the McAninch Arts Center at college of DuPage, 425 Fawell Blvd. in Glen Ellyn.
Participants include the percussion ensembles, directed by Michael Folker; small group jazz, led by Tom Tallman; the chamber orchestra, directed by Dan Pasquale D’Andrea; and the concert choir and chamber singers, directed by Lee Kesselman, with accompanist Barbara Ekholm.
In all, more than 160 students will participate. Tickets are $4.
