GEL SHARE: Eco-Friendly Fall Landscaping Seminar

With the cooler temperatures and damp humidity, fall is the best time of year for planting. The Glen Ellyn Environmental Commission will make it easy for residents with the “Eco-Friendly Fall Landscaping Seminar” on Tuesday, October 13 from 7 – 8:30 p.m. at the Glen Ellyn Civic Center, 535 Duane St., Glen Ellyn.

GEL EVENT: Jobs, Sustainable Living, and Environmental Ethics in Glen Ellyn

What does a “green economy” have to do with jobs? Does creation care have an impact on the poor? Do endangered species really matter? What role should people of faith play in taking care of the planet?

Come hear five respected local speakers discuss Pulitzer Prize-winning New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman's book, “Hot, Flat, and Crowded” and how Christians might respond at First Presbyterian on Sunday, April 19, from 3:00-5:00 p.m. in the church parlor. The public is welcome to attend this free event.
